I have a scene that has a large field of grass that I am using fur to create. The field is pretty large so I have to have the density set up to about 100000 to keep from having that independant blades of grass look. I have set the light model to ambient + diffuse. The renders are still kinda clunky and I was wondering if anyone had any optimization tricks to get the render times down.
I have tried paint effects but since the field is so large the strokes have to cover a lot of space making those renders unmanageable also.
