MAYA 7.0 on a laptop
on Aug 24, 2005 at 8:18:58 am

I am thinking about getting Maya and was wondering if anyone has tried Maya on a iBook G4, or PowerBook G4? Or am I better off using it on a desktop system?

Thanks

I highly recommend AGAINST running it on a mac laptop. They don't have enough to horsepower to do much with Maya. Either use a mac desktop or get a PC laptop (or desktop).

What laptop would you recomend since I would like to be able to use Maya on the road? And because I am not a PC user so far I have only used Macs for CGI.
Any help would be great....

depends on how much money you want to spend, but check out the laptops by alienware, boxx, and toshiba. They make pretty good ones. Get the biggest screen you can, it will pay off after you've looked at it for 20 hours in a row :)
