Newbie: Wireframe/Stroke animation
on Jul 19, 2005 at 4:21:27 pm

Hi all. I know this may not be the right forum to ask this question, but I couldn't find anywhere else.

I want to create a simple, wireframe 3D animation. Better yet would be a simple, "stroke" like effect rather than a hard wireframe. I just want to create the object, then make it rotate around 360 degrees.

I'm don't know much about 3D software (Zaxwerks Invig is all I know), so I'm wondering if anyone knows the best (and easiest) software in which to create this type of animation. I'm thinking Maya is probably overkill, but since I don't know the software, maybe not.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Naveen

You can some pretty nice results with the Maya Vector renderer. But if you are looking for a more "stylised" line you might try mental ray or tomcat toon shader for maya.
Hope this helps
