on Jul 7, 2005 at 8:28:57 am

The hello,

I am using the Maya 6.0, I am the very need to know of if I can animate the point level; what I saying is that sometime you want it to move on the individual, and not as a rotate of the entire. This is can be done? I am very help. In the other program, can I move point and have it to remember that. But the Maya I dont know how.

So in the final: Thanks for all your helping and frendliness.

With The Friendly Greeting,

If I understand what you're saying you want to animate the pivot point of an object, similar to the anchor point in after effects.

I'm not in front of a maya workstation at the moment and I've never had the need to do that in maya but it's a good question - maybe someone else knows?

you can animate vertexes, control points, if you look up in the channel box when you select points, you'll see a place that gives you CV's and it will say click to show. click on that and it will show you the xyz for the points, which you can then animate by keyframing.
