Hi, i am trying to create a walk cycle in maya 6, and am wondering how to loop a couple of steps instead of keyframing the whole trip... please help... i keyframed about a million steps and it looks a bit bad...
What you want to do is animate one cycle, then go into the graph editor and select the curves that you've animated. Once you've got them selected, right click on them and go to post-infinity and choose cycle. This will loop the existing keyframes on the graph.
Almost forgot, another option is to use the trax editor. This is a bit more inolved than i can explain in a posting, but your essentially taking a certain range of animation and creating a clip out of it, where you can then edit it like you do on a NLE. Look it up in the docs.
