gathering used files for archiving

I'm not at a maya station now but thought I'd ask while I was thinking about it - is there a feature in maya similar to after effects' "collect" feature where you can collect and organize all exterior files used so you can easily archive your project? I'm usually good about keeping my files inside my project folders but others in the office are not as anal. :-P

Sorry for the double. I was working in bins today and noticed it's very easy (for me at least) to forget to put materials where they belong until it's too late. I initially thought just being in a bin would automatically put new materials there but I was wrong. Maybe this is a 6.0 thing and they've improved it in 6.5?

the command mayabatch -archive scene.ma on the command line will gather a list of all the files textures and references associated with a particular maya scene file for archiving purposes.

as for the bin activity in the hypershade, I don't think its changed in 6.0, I too was miffed that new materials weren't placed in the active bin.

Thanks, sean! That archive mel command will really be helpful. I'll read up more on this in the help.

On the bin answer, you meant it hasn't changed in 6.5? I was really disappointed you had to move things into the bin manually.

I haven't used it much since we're still on 6.0 at work, but I didn't find any mention of a change in the release notes so I assume it works the same as 6.0
