I'm newish to Maya and 3D in terms of modelling and i'm wondering if you could perhaps give some advice or URL tutorials on proper modelling conventions/procedures on the topic of high res to low res geometry.
This is a basic model i'm working on and my problem is I have lots of detail around the head features but have no use for it through the mid section until i get to the tail and even then i don't need that much to which i have carried some of the lines through to. What's the best way to handle this, i'm assuming terminating edge loops into a triangle is not a good idea. I'm really hoping that i don't have to start over!
(This model is being constructed in Maya6.5 ...Poly then being convereted to SubD later)
