I'm using 6 Cannon C300's in a live switching environment. My understanding is that since the C300 doesn't shoot 1080p23.98PsF that it will go through my live switcher at 60i. So my question is, if my linecut recording is 1080i59.94, what's the best way to bring that footage into Avid so that it is 23.98, since the frames are obviously there.
The main reason we have documentary footage coming in at 23.98 straight from the C300 CF cards, and all the camera ISOs will be 23.98.
Any suggestions would be helpful, I've been reading about pulldown and think that plays into it, but it starts to stretch some of my current knowledge and absolutely can't get this aspect wrong.
