Corrupt data from memory card using canon C
on Mar 6, 2013 at 12:59:30 am

I doing a TV show and on one of the first days of shooting I got an extra shooter for an interview. He was trying out the Canon eos C.

I copied the two memory cards he shot to my computer. On the first card, the very first shot plays fine in VLC and could be converted easily to my editing format. The second shot starts out fine but after a few seconds it stops. The rest of the shots on that memory card are also corrupt, I have not been able to even view any of them. the shots are there, at least I know that each of them vary in size, according to what would be expected.

The second memory card I got from him works fine, with all the shots intact.

I discovered this problem right away and called my shooter to see if he could view the shots on the camera. He could not.

My guess is that the memory card itself is to blame, but other then that I have no idea how to fix the problem.

Can anybody point me in the right direction. These shots are really important and I can't reshoot.
