I have captured from a Canon HV20 in hdv 1080i60 using fcp v5.1.4. (The majority of the other footage I'm using is 24p advanced, editing in a 23.98 timeline) I found on another forum to use JES Deinterlacer, doing inverse telecine to create a 23.98 movie file. The best results are produced when I do a direct output to a photo jpeg file (what was recommended), but now I'm told by the post house that will be onlining this project that they cannot online a photo jpeg file. I tried outputting through JES to an uncompressed 8 bit file but the results are not so great. We want an hd resolution file because we are onlining and up-resing the rest of our footage to HD. Any ideas?
