Best setting to get the least amount of grain in low light?

What do you think are the best setting to get the least amount of grain in low light on a canon a1? What settings should I mess with or set diffrently?

Turn ON a Custom Preset. Edit that Custom Preset and adjust the following:
CORING: +8
NR 1: LOW
NR 2: OFF (If you are on a static shot on a tripod with not much movement in the frame, then set to LOW)

Boost the Croma a bit too, so that you are getting a healthy color sample.

Feel free to activate Cinema Gamma with a Low Knee if you want a more film-like look. Set Blacks to STRETCH. Keep SETUP and PEDESTAL at 0 or possibly +1.

Keep the VIDEO GAIN to -6 or under if possible (use +12db if you absolutely must...)
Try decreasing shutter speed from 1/60sec to 1/30sec before boosting gain to +12db.
Be careful about using 1/24sec in 24F mode as you will see a lot of motion blur...
