I work on a PC with two internal HDs, and two LaCie external HDs (mostly for storage and back-up of video, etc). I'm about to start a project that will generate a ton more video clips that I'll be capturing into the computer. Because I won't need access to all of the clips all of the time, I don't want to bog down the internal drive my capturing them there, so I'm thinking I should get another external drive. Any suggestions for an external HD with large capacity, fast access, etc that has a good track record? Thanks!
sounds like you could use a hot swap enclosure. this would give you unlimited storage that you could load and unload as needed. the above link sells good ones. no more plugging and unplugging firewire cables.
