Working on my first big project, wich needs to end up as a DVD. All the shooting & editing is done. Now the DVD-making ☺
I’m editing in FCPx and will use DVD SP4 to author the DVD.
Almost finished reading the DVDSP manual and read 3 years back in posts on this section of C-COW. But would love to have some advice/guidance trough the process.
The DVD consists of 6 categories, each with 6-8 movies in it.
Each movie in a category must have the option to be played individually, and I also want to create a ‘play all’ button.
To do this I will make one film in FCPx, containing all 6 category films with chapter marks.
1. This is the proper method, right?
All of my footage has been shot on a Canon 60D, 1920x1080p, 25 fps.
However in one category there are two films that have some shots that were shot on a Panasonic GH2, 1280 x 720p, 50 fps.
I have two questions regarding this:
2. What kind of problems will this give me in creating the ‘play all’ button?
3. What kind of problems will this give me in the encoding process?
For encoding I’m gonna use BitVice. I’ve read multiple times here this to be the best option. Total time of the project will almost be 2hrs, so I’m gonna have to do a damn good encoding job!
Can anyone point me to a BitVice forum, manual or tutorial?
