DVD Studio Pro - imported background/invisible buttons question
on Sep 13, 2011 at 6:12:31 am

Hi there, had some super-basic questions about creating buttons when using pre-existing backgrounds.

I created a Scene Selection PNG slide in Photoshop with text already included in the background ("Act 1", "Act 2", etc, in a nice font), then made invisible buttons around the text to jump to the given acts when clicked. Yet I don't know the best way to highlight the text when the viewer is browsing with their remote. I'd like to keep it clean and minimal, no half-opacity blocks of color denoting buttons.

Can I add a line/dot/cursor next to the invisible button so it lines up with the text? Or is there a way to take the text layers from PS into DVD studio, turn them into buttons, then drag them to where I want them? What would be the best way to go about this?

I also can't seem to find the window/tab that allows you to make stylistic changes to text you create within DVD studio. How much freedom are you given with creating and stylizing text?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! =)
