idvd confusion
on May 13, 2010 at 1:01:22 am

just tried burning a movie in idvd. found that the film plays but has no video. i also set a menu for the trailer which plays just fine. the trailer is a h264 (1920x1080) file where as the film was exported pro res 1920x1080 4:4:4. i guess idvd cant write pro res exports? i could say the reason being that the pro res file was 16 gigs though I figure its like toast and will just downconvert the movie so it fits a standard 4.2 gig dvd.

thanks

Were expecting an HD DVD? iDVD is only capable of 480/NTSC standard definition discs. Anything that's not that will be automatically downconverted to MPEG-2/SD.
