Making Menus for Digital Transmission (ie. iTunes)

Was curious as to how one makes a menu for digital transmission (like the ones in iTunes when you buy a movie)

Would that be the same as Encore CS4 export to Flash??
I've been hoping to find the answer to this question to determine what other programs (if any) I may have to learn for the future of menu creation.

What format does iTunes use for this? Thanks!!

I've never purchased a movie through iTunes, so I don't know for sure, but I would imagine it uses flash.

[Jon Geddes] "I've never purchased a movie through iTunes, so I don't know for sure, but I would imagine it uses flash."

Apple loathes Flash and would never base the iTunes Store on it. It's a combination of Webkit, perhaps with some added CSS, QuickTime and maybe some HTML 5. The current version of iTunes is essentially a Safari browser under the hood btw and the iTunes Store is a secure website only accessible through the iTunes Application. Well unless you happen to work at Apple that is...

Noah,

I was not aware of Apple's reluctance to use Flash. Thank you for your input.

Whats really interesting is the new CS5 Flash has the ability to create native iphone apps in Flash:

Kinda sorta- they're not really native. It's basically a Flash emulator. Just what the iPhone didn't need. Fun fact- Flash is responsible for something like 90% of all crashes in Safari due to Adobe's implementation of a cross-platform app.
