Buffalo Tech DVD Drive No Mac Drivers

Hi, I bought a BRHC-6316U2 MediaStation External Blu-ray Hard Drive DVD Combo Drive for DVD authoring on my Mac Pro computers. I can't get it to work with my system, Apple doesn't recognize it. I have searched the Buffalo Tech website and posted my question to the forum there, no luck.

Does anyone have experience with Buffalo Tech's DVD RW drives?

Picture of my Buffalo drive atop my MacPro, although it is usually attached to a Windows Vista machine.

The drive works with my MacPro (Leopard/10.5.x; 8-core) and, while I have yet to burn a Blu-ray disc with the unit, I have read and written CDs and DVDs with it on the MacPro with no problem. Since my Roxio Toast 9 Titanium recognizes it and I can play CDs and DVDs from this drive, I think it is safe to assume that it does indeed work with MacOS.

Even then - assuming you could burn Blu-ray discs on the MacPro - they probably won't playback on the Mac - you'll have to use a standalone player or Windows-based setup with appropriate add-ons to do that.

Model of BuffaloTech unit: BRHC-6316U2-US
Mechanism model number: HL-DT-ST BD-RE GGW-H20N (probably made by LG)
