I'm sure this has been asked and answered 3.58 million times...but here goes:
I am doing some very straightforward training projects in DV, edited in FCE. I have iDVD and can get other stuff (within reason).
I am trying to output these 10 min. lessons on DVD and the audience will likely view these DVDs on a PC. Some will probably use a DVD player and TV. The stand-alone DVD version looks good, but on a PC player, the motion (limited as it is) is jumpy and the video quality is poor. I'm looking at these on modest Dells with PowerDVD, which is what most of the audience will have.
I am very confused about the DV to DVD through iDVD workflow. For example, do I export these files as QuickTime or some other scheme or in DV Stream? I've looked at various PC DVD players, even viewing commercial films and the results are not too good. Am I expecting too much from PC's or is there a standard way of making DVDs for PC that results in beter quality?
