Is there any DVD de-mix software (not converter)?
on Nov 3, 2007 at 11:20:11 am

Hi,

Im looking for a software to, so to say, dissociate dvds back into their original source files. So not an ordinary dvd ripper, but if I have dvd, I can use this program to re-create mpg and ac3 files (Im using DVD Architect) from VOBs as they were, without actually converting them. Is it possible?

It should be, cause DVDA or any other authoring prog is just adding the menu and compiling the dvd, so it should be possible the also revert the process and recreate the original files, remove the menu etc. That would be very helpful. Any ideas?

Regards,

Srivas

There's DVD Re-author. It will break apart all the elements and assemble them in a SCN (Scenarist) file. You may not need the SCN, but you'll get all your elements out of it.

You may also try DVD Decrypter.

It's a little outdated , but I guess it serves for your purpose.
