Compressor and Format. This is probably an easy one!

When creating quicktime movies that will be used on a DVD what type of compressor should I specify?

These are a few of them that are listed:

Animation
Cinepak
DV-PAL
DV/DVCPRO-NTSC
DVCPRO-PAL
Mpeg-4
Sorenson 3 video
and about 10 more...

Also what is the best format?

the options are:

16 bit color
24 bit color
32 bit color
etc.

Thanks!!!!

cameron

none of those will work. You need the one that says mpeg2.

if you have 6.5 on the pc yes, I think you can.

I don't think the mac version supports mpeg2 output yet.

You could export it as an ANIMATION file then compress
that with an mpeg encoder software.

Thats How I do all of my dvd menu's.

If you have apple compressor, it should have an mpeg2
output module.
