Is there an affordable portable waveform/vector scope for both SD and HD cameras?

Thanks,

Chris

The issue will be I/O as SD and HD cameras have quite a variety of output options...composite/component analog...SDI/HDSDI....FireWire...

I find Serious Magic's DV Rack HD to work very well, but I need to carry an analog>FW box (ADVC 100) to feed analog SD signals into it and I can only feed DVCProHD P2 or HDV into it for HD signals.

As far as conventional self-contained scopes go...the digital models can set you back anywhere from 8-18,000.00 USD.

you don't think the HDX900 with its firewire port will work with DVRack HD?

I've been told that it should work attached to the FireWire port of an HDX 900, but apparently it hasn't been tested.

WFM on LH900 is a joke for serious applications where you need to look at RGB channels etc not just luminance channel.

Worthless in my work for shading single or multi camera jobs.

Best units to use are Leader 5700A or 5750 wfm's. Not cheap but very powerful to get the job done for numerous applications.
