Lighting a Gusher?
on Nov 10, 2008 at 8:17:29 am

Just got a project to light a water gusher at night. This is a full size replica of the first commerical oil well in Oklahoma called the Nellie Johnstone located in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
I need a very bright waterproof light source to light a water gusher that is about 3" round at the nozzel but shoots upward of 60 feet.
Fixture must be waterproof and withstand freezing temps.

thank you,
Richard Johnson

Contact Vari*Lite about their exterior weatherproof luminaires.
They will have a few excellent options.
Martin Lighting will also.

Is this a permanent installation? or are you just lighting it to shoot it. Back light is your friend with water and you will want a low ring of (medium PAR 64) Sea PARs aimed vertically up at the water.

Good Luck
