Hello, I am having trouble with color level scaling in media composer 8.8. I am shooting AVC-Intra 50 1080i/59.94 to P2 and have my MC project settings set up as 1440x1080 1080i/59.94 YCbCr 709.
The problem is that whenever I bring in liked or imported video the black levels seems to be higher than how they were shot. If I open the same clips in FCP 7 or Premiere they look the way they should but not in MC. I have been able to correct the black levels by going to "Source Settings" and scaling "video levels to full range" but I don't want to have to do this for every clip i shoot, sometimes i have over 100 clips and i don't always have the time or patience to do this since I work in a news environment.
I'm not sure if theres a setting i may be missing that seems to be causing MC to operate in full range vs legal range (rec 709).
