Change audio or gain levels on many clips... shortcut?
on Mar 30, 2016 at 8:17:52 pm

I've learned how to set an in & out in the timeline, then find a good level and use the hamburger menu in the audio mixer tool to "Set level on track-global", but I guess I am wondering if there is a quicker way... like copy & paste attributes from one clip to many, which does not seem to work if I have merely changed the gain of a clip.. gain does not seem copy-paste-able as an attribute. Then I tried to change the volume on one clip using a single keyframe to drag the volume down, and copying and pasting that as an attribute... this works, sort of... it behaves in a weird way where some clips will take the new pasted volume and some simply won't.

anyway, i thought id see if anyone has any tips on this... thanks!

Me personally, I add keyframes and lasso, or IN OUT mark the area I want to increase

I like to change the audio of the source in the source window so when applied to the timeline I generally do not need to make any further changes.

Same as in timeline or record window - using audio mixer to adjust levels before editing into timeline. I do not believe you can use keyframing on the source but you can change levels and pans.

Or select multiple clips in the bin and choose: Clip->Apply Gain, enter a value.
