Uninstall Avid Application Manager
on Nov 8, 2015 at 7:43:30 pm

I'm trying to wipe clean my Avid.

I've followed all the Manual Uninstall from the Avid website. Which looks like this:

1) Apps > Avide editing program >Delete

2) HD - Library > application support > Avid > Delete

3) Applications > utilities > avid Utilities > delete

I've run the Uninstaller.

But when I go to reinstall - I keep seeing Application Manager as an Upgrade (see image)

It even says this : "Application Manager will not be uninstalled when Editor is uninstalled."

So my Question is - How do I uninstall the Application Manager on OS X Yosemite.

Thanks in Advance.

You don't just DELETE the Avid software...you need to UNINSTALL it. There's an uninstaller in the Applications folder...called AVID UNINSTALLERS. In there is also the Application Manager uninstaller. You shouldn't delete anything manually, until after you ran the uninstaller.

Yes, I now see the Applications Manager Uninstaller in the Uninstaller folder

I was following this tutorial FROM AVID.

http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/How_To/How-to-Manual-Uninstall-Avi...

This tutorial uses an older version of Avid where Applications Manager Uninstaller was not contained in the Uninstaller folder

[Shane Ross] "You don't just DELETE the Avid software...you need to UNINSTALL it.

- I agree but the folks at Avid who posted the link above seem to think otherwise.

- On reinstall I found this folder. Which I will run next time.

Thanks.
