Import Premiere Multicam Project
on Jun 4, 2014 at 9:26:46 am

Recently I went from Premiere to Avid MC and I am profoundly satisfied by Avid. However, I had tot do a multicam edit and not knowing how to do so in Avid, I decided this would be my last project in Premiere. Big mistake. Hangups, errors, or at best very slow, Premiere was a pain to work with. I was finally able to kind of finish the project, but now premiere won't even play it, it'll crash on export and right now it won't even export an AAF.

What I would want to do is take the project from Premiere and finish it in Avid. Is this possible? I was able to export an AAF of the sequences that holds the multicam nest, but Avid won't accept it.

Is there anything I can do except starting all over from scratch in Avid?

Premiere and I have divorced, and the divorce has not been amicable.

Sorry, but no. Not entire projects. Sequences were possible from FCP, with the use of Automatic Duck. But not while maintaining the multicam aspect.
