Error message at playback
on Aug 13, 2013 at 2:41:06 am

I'm transcribing an interview, and suddenly I get an error message that says:
SWDC_CodecInterface_Taks::Execute()CONSISTENCY CHECK FAILURE!?! : []

and then I can't play the rest of the clip. If I go backwards to play an earlier part of the clip, it works fine, as does playing other clips from the same shoot. I tried rebooting MC, and same problem.

These are C100/Ninja2 clips that have been consolidated from DNxHD, and I'm on MC7 with MacBookPro Retina.

Anyone have an idea?

Thanks to everyone who's been so helpful on this forum!

Transcode that one clip to DNxHD. Something might be wrong with the Consolidated media.

Hi Shane,

Thanks for your help!

Here's what happened now:
Okay, so I try opening the quicktime DNxHD file, and it plays back fine.
I try linking via AMA, and that one section of the clip has the same error/playback problem.
So then I try to transcode the clip from AMA, and I get a long console error message and it wouldn't transcode. So then I just drag the clip from the finder into the bin, and it transcodes okay.

But still odd: At that same point in the clip where there was a problem, there's a split second flash in the video. It plays through, no error message, but the weird flash.

Any thoughts on what might be happening? Have you heard of this before?
I'm wondering if the NINJA2 -> DNxHD -> transcode/consolidate workflow is still buggy?

Dan S.
