Im working with MC6 OSX Mac Pro - 10.8.3 - 2.8 GHz quad-core intel xeon - 14 gb 1066 mhz DDR3
I have a completed film that was cut in DNxHD 115 and we're trying to batch import to now bring everything up to 175. This worked fine for a large batch but now I get "An Unexpected error occurred while importing the wuicktime Audio tracks" after selecting clips and assigning them to there respective sources. The audio dosnt mater to me i just need the video.
If I hit continue it moves to the next clip. Once hitting continue for each clip it still says failed import. When checking the console it says "DeduceProResFromWidthHeightFields() - value passed-in for numFields is zero. Assuming 1 field.
User abort of batch import."
It seems most of these clips that wont batch import have been ProRes transcoded, is that the problem? Because there are some files that it did batch import that were.
I also looked into bit rate, that some of the clips that did batch import were 16bit even though my import setting is for 24bit.
I don't usually recommend mixing workflows, but I've had good success using AMA with this.
Link to the Quicktimes with AMA. When the AMA clips are in a bin, select them and the sequence, and select to link to selected items in all open bins in the Relink dialog. You may have to cross match criteria so that the clip name links to the file name. Once your sequence links to the original media via AMA, you can transcode to your desired resolution.
