Studio Screen Aspect Ratio question
on Mar 17, 2013 at 2:41:29 pm

Hi guys,

I need to deliver some footage to be played on screen during a live show. The screen has a strange aspect ratio though and I'm not sure how to correctly make sure my footage will fit. The footage I've cut is in 16:9 1920x1080 HD at the moment. Here is email studio guy sent me:

I am not a technician, but I can calculate it as follows:

Screen size is 7.32mtrs x 8.05mtrs (pixelpitch 7.62mm) width x height

Screen size 960pixel x 1056pixel width x height

ratio 9:10 width x height

I have no experience in delivering for studios so any help as to how I would go about this would be great!

Thanks

That's nearly square. Your footage as it will display as letterbox. You may be able to use Squeeze to create that type of output with a crop to match X and Y.

Thanks! FYI ended up making a grid, putting footage in frame within it, then laying off to digi, and they are punching in to footage at studio
