Hi, I've been trying to figure out the best way to ripple the video track without effecting the underlying music cue.
I set up a simple example. I have 3 tracks Video, Audio, and Music. The cut in the Video and Audio is above the music cue (which has no cut in it). If I have sync locks on and ripple the source side of the cut. The Avid does what it is suppose to - it brings all the cuts down stream up and everything stays in sync - the music cue underneath the cut stays where it is. BUT the next time I ripple it moves the music cue as well. Is this a bug? I can ripple a frame at a time but then for some reason on the sixth frame it will move the music cue.
Hope that makes sense.
Do the pros even try to keep music cues intact once a sequence is recut?
