Avid Media Composer--Won't load/launch/start
on May 25, 2012 at 8:33:36 pm

To Start, my laptop:
CPU: Intel® Core ™ i7-2330QM CPU @ 2.00 GHz
CPU Clock Frequency: 2.00 GHz
System Memory: 8 GBytes
Cache Memory: 1 MBytes/6 Mbytes

Manufacturer: Sony Corporation
Model name: VPCF226FM
BIOS VERSION: R1190V#
OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium
ME Version: 7.0.10.1203
System Type: 64-bit Operating System

I downloaded the 30-day free trial of Avid Media Composer.

However, when I go to start the program, I'm given the error message:

User privileges insufficient to start a low level driver.

Followed by:

Avid Media Composer
Exception: AMPI subsystem error. ErrorMessage: DSM future error from client eDSMError_Exception: Assertion in "DSM_Transport.cpp", line 118 (err=1813), DSMManager: InitializeDSM in DSMManager.cpp: 342,
AMPIMainComponentRep::InitializeDSM Failed in AMPIMain.cpp: 81,
AMPIMainComponent::Initialize mRep->Initialize in AMPIMain.cpp: 159,
AMPIMainComponent::Initialize in AMPIMain.cpp: 163

I've just received the exact same error (without the privileges message). Wondering if you ever had any luck with that since your post?

Did some scouring on the interwebs and found this gem:

Totally did the trick.

Voilà la solution que j'ai trouvé et qui a marché ;)

Attention à bien prendre le bon fichier qui peut se trouver dans Programmes/Avid et non ProgrammeFiles/avid.
