render settings for slomotion

HI
If i have interlaced footage (1080i), which is the best render settings for a slo mo. Ill only get to see the effects of getting it wrong on a Tv monitor, and dont have one hooked to my home avid?>
options are
Duplicated field
Interpolated field
VTR style etc

It really depends on so many variables. But Blended Interpolated will typically give you the best bang for the buck, i.e. quality vs time rendering. I tend to use duplicated field as a draft mode when trying to find the timing, then do my final renders in Blended Interpolated. If utmost quality is needed, then Fluid Motion is it, but be prepared for very long render times

HI
Yes im not worried about renerd time as i leave a final render of everything overnight. what i hate is flickering images. I cant even cope with progressive as its too flickery.

Get it on the timeline. Promote it to a timewarp.

The Timewarp's Blended Interpolated (or blended VTR) look 10x better than the 4 motion effect renders.

And if you drop the speed below 30%, I'd really recommend using FluidMotion in the Timewarp render methods.
