Project Type 720x60, shot Panasonic HVX170 720x60, did all the mix down etc. sending to dvd one step but when I look at the dvd that was run off the picture looks stretched out and all my people look 20lbs heavier.
yes 720p 60fps....I am going to dvd. I have to admit a blonde..I mean user mistake, in the format I had the raster dimensions 1280x720 and changed to 960x720...but...
I burned (hockey) game footage last year and that footage looks a lot better than this go round. I burned my last dvd with sorenson squeeze. Any advice on a different format to get the best possible look in SD?
....and if one was to advance to HD/Blue Ray...is that a matter of purchasing a dvd writer that will output blue ray?
I guess it depends on your DVD App. We edit 720p 60fps a lot, I simply send a QT ref., native dimensions to Adobe Encore for DVD (SD) and have never had quality or aspect ratio trouble. I can't speak to any other DVD app - DVD by Sonic for Avid never worked great for me.
