I'm using Media Composer 6 and it appears to be handling my AVCHD media via AMA very well, whereas MC 5.5.3 wasn't performing well at all. I have just started a project and have all the footage imported as DNXHD. I'd like to switch the project over to AMA instead to save hard drive space, but I've already synced all the audio and have all the clips in sequences for watching dailies and making take selections. I'd rather not lose all the work, so is there any kind of batch process to change each clip back to AMA? The program knows the source path and source file name (I see it in the bins).
Also, to be safe, if I have a project where all the media is AMA, is there an easy way to convert everything to DNXHD if I have performance problems, but be able to keep all the sequences intact and link to the new DNXHD media?
