NAB Show will feature a panel of leading women in media to discuss the impact of disruptive forces on audience, revenue and the workforce. The panel will take place on Monday, April 9 on the Main Stage of the 2018 NAB Show in Las Vegas and is produced in partnership with National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation, TVNewsCheck, Alliance for Women in Media and Radio Ink.

In the session titled, “Leading Through Disruption,” panelists Amy Emmerich, Refinery29; Muriel De Lathouwer, EVS; Ginny Morris, Hubbard Radio; and Marian Pittman, Cox Media Group will examine how to strategically position an organization to thrive in a climate of rapid-fire change. Moderated by former AdWeek and Politico reporter Katy Bachman, the panel will explore the varying effects of digital transformations, consolidation and FANG (Facebook, Amazon, Netflix and Google). “Disruptive forces present a unique opportunity for future-focused leaders to empower competitive advantage,” said NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton. “The insights from this impressive panel of executives will address how to fully harness the power of these emerging forces to strengthen business models.”

Amy Emmerich is the chief content officer at Refinery29 where she is focused on driving content strategy and leveraging distribution across channels as the brand scales globally. She has more than 20 years of experience developing content and programming for brands including MTV Networks, Travel Channel and Vice Media. Emmerich formerly served as the EVP of programming at Refinery29, where she spearheaded the growth of the video department, launched dozens of original series and helped expand the company's content offerings.

Muriel De Lathouwer has served as the chief executive officer and managing director of EVS Broadcast Equipment S.A. since 2014. Before joining EVS, De Lathouwer spent almost 20 years in the telecom, high tech, IT, and media industries. She started her career as an IT consultant at Accenture followed by seven years at McKinsey in Brussels where she was Associate Principal, specialized in telecom, high tech and media sectors.
Third-generation broadcaster Ginny Morris is the Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Hubbard Radio, LLC. She began her career working with special projects and promotional events in the promotion department of Hubbard’s flagship TV station, KSTP-TV. She later became President and General Manager of both Hubbard KSTP radio properties. A former Chair of the NAB Radio Board, Morris currently serves on the Executive Committee of the RAB (Radio Advertisers Bureau), the board of BMI (Broadcast Music Inc.) and the Library of American Broadcasting.

Marian Pittman is Cox Media Group's (CMG) executive vice president of digital strategy and research. In this role, Marian oversees CMG's digital strategy, content and sales efforts for all of CMG's newspapers, radio and TV platforms. Marian also is responsible for CMG's Digital Content Desk, Fans First Media, as well as CMG's Research division. Previously, she oversaw all content and marketing strategic decision making for CMG's television markets as VP of news and marketing.
