Seam on image maps

Hey all,

Is there a way to blend or blur the edge where an image map meets itself on a sphere? It's maddening that I can't rotate a sphere image all the way around because of that damn seam.

Hi Chris.

If you can send me an example of the problem you're seeing,
(an .aep file and enough textures to demonstrate the bug),
I'd be happy to take a look.

Send files to: matt@zaxwerks.com

Thanks a lot.

Hi Matt, it may not be a bug at all...

It could be that the map edges aren't made mirror eachother. I've seem some tutorials on how to achieve seamless tiling using Photoshop. A quick search of the forums could yield the answer.

Jon

Matt,

Thanks for the offer, but it's not a bug. It happens in other programs and plugins as well. I'm seeing the same seam in Kinemac, and in CC Sphere. Jon is right, I need a Photoshop trick or something to fix it.

Here are some free samples of seamless sky maps. Might be of help.
