Nomads (by Felix and Paul) was my first VR movie ever and I must admit I am a bit of an orphan since because I try to find again this immersive sensation I had with the 180° around me. All the other movies I can watch in VR centers makes me feel I look at them through an old View-Master or a diving mask.
Could you please explain me technically why Nomad (and the other movie I saw with Cirque du Soleil) let you enter into the movie and turn your eyes around just like in real like as no other movies does.
I try to explain this to people running VR places and it seems as though they don’t understand. It seems normal to them that a VR movie is just a rectangle of image in front of you with only the freedom to turn your head to make the image show you the rest of the world.
Thanks by advance
