LG 360 spherical videos - how to edit and process for YouTube?

I use YouTube's Spatial Media Metadata Tool and then upload. But the video is distorted and not stitched exactly right. This is the top of the video, which should be a straight fluorescent light: http://i.imgur.com/ftKOz7S.png

The sides are doubled where they should be overlapped/stitched: http://i.imgur.com/3Bt70yr.png

I haven't been able to find resources about this. It's way more difficult than it should be to match the Premiere output to the source video.

The LG 360 Android app will share its videos to YouTube, but apparently the videos are not formatted for YT to recognize it as 360.

Any info would be appreciated.
