and... if you search for "Antarctic Dispatches site:nytimes.com" and choose the link titled "Miles of Ice Collapsing...", then navigate to the second section, you will find an amazing immersive video shot inside a helicopter cockpit. I would love to know how this was shot, and what is holding the camera(s) in place, because it appears you can see not just 360 horizontally, but in the vertical plane as well, without finding any support.
That's an easy one.
The girl on the right in the back seat is holding it, on a pole. You can see the shadow of the rig on the pilot.
(The parallax is keeping the pole out of the image.)
Horrible stitches though, as the cockpit is too small for this rig...
