We just started to get into 360 video. We have a GoPro Omni 6 camera rig and there is a debate about best way to mount the rig to our tripod. Does anyone have any best practices or thoughts on this?
The vertical mount which is the intended design of the Omni that creates diagonal stitch lines but seems to create more parallax issues in Giga when trying to cover those up. Also this mount seems to hide the tripod best.
The oblique mount which requires an additional arm to the tripod to get the camera parallel. This gives us vertical stitch lines and makes covering up parallax easier. The down side is the tripod is very visible in the shot.
A client is looking to do some 360 video in an office environment. Has anyone done such a video? If so could you share any tips or tricks.
