For lab purposes, we use a Xena LHi in a quad-code PC as a primary HD-SDI source. We are facing some problems with AVI files in Machina.
When playing AVI captured by the board, Machina set the format to "8 bits YUV 4:2:2" which is the correct capture format we used.
When playing AVI made with others softwares, Machina always set the format to "8 bits RGB 4:4:4 DS" whatever the video codec format in the file is. In this case we have real time playback problems.
We need to ingest our own videos which are in raw yuv files (YV12 or UYVY). What software do you recommend to create AVI file for Machina ?
What Machina expect to play AVI in their native "8 bits YUV 4:2:2" format ?
Here is an update of my preceding post.
We generated raw YUV files encapsulated in AVI with Grass Valley Procoder 3, things are better but Machina sometimes misunderstand some pictures.
We switched to raw YUV encapsulated in MOV format, now things works without any problem.
Machina seems to better handle MOV than AVI.
