Using Kona LHe and iChat on Mac Pro
on May 25, 2010 at 10:17:58 am

Good day,

I need to make a visioconferencing between 2 computers.
A "reporter" and a "server". The server has an AJA Kona LHe card.

Using iChat, is it possible to export live video to digital output of the Kona in order to see the personn on the TV (connected to server using Kona)?

I tried to find in parameters how to use an other display than the default one, but impossible to find...

Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Arnaud

Recording a video or audio chat
You can record a video or audio chat to view later.

It's limited but it's free.

To record a video chat:

Start a video or audio chat with one or more buddies.

Choose Video > Record Chat.

A Recording Request window opens on your buddies’ screens. If they click Allow, recording proceeds.

To stop recording, either click the Stop button or close the chat window.

By default, recorded video and audio chats are stored in the iChats folder in your Documents folder. To choose a different location for saved recordings, in the Messages pane of iChat preferences, select “Save chat transcripts to,” and then select the location.

You can use Spotlight to search for saved recorded chats by title and date.
