swr dubs using AJA kona card?
on Apr 4, 2010 at 2:32:30 pm

Greetings All, I am in need of advice/direction.

I am acquiring an srw-5000 for my audio facility soon and would like to be able to create SR "air dubs" from SR masters for my client once we are finished with audio layback.

I'm sure HD dubbing must be a common issue for smaller facilities with limited HD capabilities, but what would be the logical and economical way to do this while maintaining acceptable results?

I was told that AJA's "VTR xfer" software may be a simple solution to do this, or possibly incorporating final cut into the mix to record and then relay the HD video and Multichannel Audio to a fresh tape.

We can always "lean" on nearby facilities for big dub runs, but if there is an easy way to do this, I'd love to be able to offer the service in a pinch as it will help me justify the ungodly SR investment.

Thanks in advance!

john
