Hello, my name is Andreas Myrokis.
The last years i was mainly listening to the forums at CreativeCow.
But today i have a question and am running out of ideas.
I sent exactly the same post to AJA Support today, but maybe someone here experienced the same problem and solved it already.
I am working on FCP with an AJA Kona Lhe installed.
Today FCP crashed on me. After this, i noticed, that the analog sound output is nearly muted.
Not only from FCP, but all applications.
SDI output works fine, but i can not monitor the audio nor output to anlog tape e.g. Betacam anymore.
If i crank the amplifier up all the way i can hear a little bit.
When i crank up the Betacam input, the meters do not even move.
The output level is like the normal level divided by ten or more.
To check, if it is a problem with the preferences, I booted from an other harddrive with an older install of FCP and Kona drivers.
Same effect. So it seems to be the card itself.
Next idea: reset the card itself. But i could not find anything in the control panel
So i booted my normal harddrive and installed the new 7.5 drivers.
No change to the audio, only effect my easy setup in FCP did not work anymore.
Also no reset button.
So i uninstalled the 7.5 drivers and went back to 7.0. Same.
I resetted also the PRAM.
I also deleted the Kona Preferences in library and users.
Nothing is resetting the card.
What else can i do?
I would change the card with the card from our second system, but both systems are in the middle of a production for the next months.
PS. the analog audio monitor level under setup is working as usual.
When i set it to +24 dB the sound is distorted and a little bit louder.
And the other way round on +18 dB or less it is clear and quieter.
So SOMETHING still works.
