Do we know if they can live in the same computer or is it best to run the scope off of a separate box?

thanks,

jason

Not the thing for the ice cream. The thing for evaluating video signals.

I believe the ultra scope is PC only, no?

Best to run it in it's own PC.

These guys throw it in a 2U for you:

Jason -
to run a Blackmagic Ultrascope, you need specific PC hardware to make it work. You just don't grab that old PC you have lying around, stick an Ultrascope card it it, and all of a sudden - instant scope.

If you want to buy (and not build) a cheap PC, get the Blackmagic Approved HP Z400 with 2 Gig of RAM(about $900) and an ATI 4670 graphics card (about $100), and you have the computer you need. If you want all 6 displays, you MUST have a monitor that can display 1920x1080. If you only want 2 displays (like Waveform and Vectorscope, for example), then you can get a smaller cheaper monitor.

The only way to do this cheaper is to build your own PC, from parts specified on the blackmagic support website.
