*NEW* AJA Mac Plug-ins for Adobe available now
on Sep 4, 2008 at 2:41:24 am

Hello,

Available today at the Support section of our website is the first release of the AJA Mac Plug-Ins for Adobe, which include application plug-ins for Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop CS3 (user manual included in the download). This initial release is version 6.0, keeping parity with required KONA driver software (also version 6). AJA’s Mac Plug-ins for Adobe offer capabilities to the Mac Adobe user not found anywhere else, for use with industry-best AJA KONA products.

Some of the many powerful new features include:

- Unique and powerful application interfaces within supported Adobe CS3 applications
- Native QuickTime, DPX, CIN, TIFF, TGA file support, within Adobe Premiere Pro CS3, After Effects and Photoshop
- Native 10-Bit RGB 4:4:4 editing in Premiere Pro on Mac
- Ability to read/edit native P2 and XDCamEX, MXF and MP4 files without proxies or conversions.
- Ability to read/edit sequential file formats without proxies or conversions.
- DVCProHD Quicktime capture in Premiere Pro
- Free for all KONA users

Please read the release notes for further information.

** This software works only with KONA LSe/LS, KONA LHe/LH, and KONA 3/3X and *requires* the previously released version 6.0 KONA driver software to use. (KONA driver is a separate download)

AJA Mac Plug-Ins for Adobe and required KONA v6.0 driver software can be found here:

No rejoicing? It's been a day since this was posted and none of the Premiere users are reporting back yet? I would have thought we would have heard something by now.....

I rejoice!!! Only thing is, I'm still on Tigre. I tried it anyway and Premiere Pro keeps quitting and the playback settings are greyed out. I'll keep on trying though!!

I think more of us are interested in the 6.1 drivers than the Premiere drivers. Development should start slowing down on the FCP side now anyways, so that may explain the lack of excitement... and yes Walter, I know you disagree...

At last! I will definitely give it a try. Premiere cs3 looks a great piece of sw! I'm going mad with all the FCP 10bit render bugs!!

I am really getting into it now, slowly and it looks really very good. Also with After Effects. It took me some time to start understanding what AJA has done, but it looks like they did a great job!

I am having problems with this update. I have the LHe. FCP works but loses audio sync randomly. iTunes open AE stutters with.
