*NEW* VTR Xchange v4.0 software available now

Hello,

Available today at the Support section of our website is new version 4.0 VTR Xchange software. (as well as new v6.0 software for KONA and Io HD, see details on the corresponding Cow pages). New features and fixes include:

*VTR Xchange v4.0 New Features*

- Multi-channel discrete audio output via new Audio Routing feature

- Batch capture feature added

*PLEASE NOTE* VTR Xchange does not offer batch logging and capture, only batch capture from a pre-existing batch list

- AppleScript support added

- Support for playback of 23.98 fps movie files at 29.97 fps or 59.94 fps added


*VTR Xchange v4.0 Improvements and Fixes*

- RP-188 and LTC timecode is now displayed in the main window during capture

- General UI enhancements

Good deal!!!

AJA is moving in the right direction with VTR Exchange. But I have one question that I hope could be answered by AJA... Why is it in the prefs of the program, you have a choice for the serial ports if you can ONLY use the Kona serial port with VTR Exchange.

It would be very nice if I could control my firewire deck with it for scanning tapes and the odd digitize of a lonely clip. Could make for a nice viewing program if this were added to it.

I know... I know... You're going to say this is only for the upper end pro decks using the serial ports but some of us are still using firewire decks also. This is just a suggestion that would be nice to be considered.
