Kona LH (PCI-x) in Mac Pro

hey guys

one of the facilities i work with is looking to upgrade their G5 edit systems to Mac Pros. theres 4 systems and they are all running the Kona LH (PCI-X) card. obviously the Mac Pros are PCIe, so i'm wondering if anyone knows if a PCI-X to PCIe riser would work with the LH? it seems like it would be a waste to have to get rid of perfectly good Kona LH cards just to replace them with Kona LHe cards. normally i wouldnt think this would work, but i just installed an Intel Xserve that had risers in it, so i know this option exists for at least one Apple product.

thanks

sell them on eBay

Or give them away to a school... Either way they won't go to waste.

I think that it would be more of a waste to try to kluge together two different generations of technology in a way that would be guaranteed for poor performance.

Yep, sorry Eric. It's the cost of doing business.
