AJA Kona TV & Targa Sequences

I just got a major load of tga sequence files from some 3d dudes. Is there a way I can play these sequences out through KonaTV? Do I have to render out a QT first? Will the DPX translator help me here or do I need to use QT?

I have never worked with image sequences before so I'm a little newbile here.

I would use the Seq > Make movie setting in QTPro - But make a REF movie using the aja codec and it will playout via Kona TV. Just make sure that your stills are on a drive fast enough to play back the files in realtime ( about 300G a minute)

[gary adcock] "I would use the Seq > Make movie setting in QTPro"

Do you mean the Export > Movie to Quicktime function?

In Quicktime PRO 7.1.6

from the File Menu
> Open Image Seg,
> set the desired frame rate
> then export a QT ref movie.

Jeremy,

Why are you not just importing them into FCP and playing on the timeline?

They are a funky size at the moment, and I was just trying to get a sense of the movement. Qt has done the trick. I have to recomposite them @ 1920x1080 later.

Since QT can open image sequence, I figured Kona TV can.

Nope, no reason for them to have one. They are all 24bit.
