Hello everyone! I'm a film student in their second semester, with a concentration in cinematography.
I've been intrigued with anamorphic cinematography for quite some time, and I came across a Nike commercial shot by a local video production company that, according to one of their social media accounts, used the Kowa 40mm f/2.3 anamorphic for the entirety of the ad. I've seen several samples online using this same Kowa lens, and usually it looks softer and more warped than in this commercial. Does anyone know what this video production company might've done to get the Kowa to look sharper and less warped (without it being obvious)?
